Essential attributes:
 Fully Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
 The candidate must have a background in a commercial company with a turnover > £10m
 Candidates must be able to use Excel to a high standard & have experience of using ERP Systems

Through growth a successful Global family ran business are looking to support the structure of the finance department by appointing a new Head of Finance. You will have ultimate responsibility for producing financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, driving improvements across controls and processes, operational finance and ad hoc projects when required.

This role will have full responsibility for the following remit:
 Lead the processing and production of accounts for the Company including cash flow forecasting and related analysis. Production of P&L, balance sheets and business forecasts and the identification of balance sheet improvements.
 Ensure the Company complies with relevant statutory regulations and requirements.
 Business Partnering the Company Directors, ensuring accurate business reporting and strong operational/cost control as well as identifying margin improvements and growth opportunities.
 Prepare Company budgets including providing 'what if' scenario planning and independent challenge. Roll out the approved budgets and ensure the operational team have a full understanding of financial expectations.
 Identify potential process and system improvements, taking recommendations to the Corporate Services Director and Chief Operating Officer, and senior executives prior to driving through the approved developments.
 Coach, develop and manage the performance of a small finance team.
 As part of the wider management team participate in or lead business projects i.e. strategic planning, acquisitions and integration, new system implementations etc.
 Ensure timely production of monthly management accounts including investigation of variances and KPI analysis
 Production of draft year-end financial statements
 Oversee the year-end audit process
 Providing support in both financial & non-financial colleagues with ongoing development of new IT Systems
