Key responsibilities

Prepare accounts and all related paperwork for companies within specified timeframes. In addition, prioritising own personal and professional development to ensure the organisation can meet the growing demands of the industry.

• Efficient preparation of accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Efficient preparation of personal and company tax returns.
• Submit accurate tax returns on time to avoid any penalties.
• Accurate preparation of full financial statements.
• Support team leader where needed.
• Bookkeeping utilising the correct use of excel, word and sage.
• Complete and submit accurate VAT returns within deadlines
• Liaising with clients to a high standard, resolve any queries they may have quickly and correctly.
• Collection, organisation and safe keeping of client records
• Accurately inputting accounting data into the accounting system for the client record
• Reconciliation of client bank accounts, credit cards and supplier statements
• Complete the accounts from start to end, ensuring all records are fully completed
• Work closely with colleagues in own team and other departments to ensure high customer service
• Proactively market and support the growth of the company
• Identify own training needs to aid development within role and complete training were requested
• Support junior staff, helping to mentor and develop them
• Participate fully in training development reviews and prepare for appraisals
• Commit to being a positive team member and raise any concerns or areas for improvement with team manager or operations manager.
