Solar Operations Manager ( STOCKPORT )

Our client a forward-thinking, growing Renewable energy company due to growth are looking to appoint a SOLAR Operations Manager - Solar PV & Renewables for their growing renewables team. Experience in managing the work of field-based installers/contractors is essential for this position. This role will support the management of a team of Solar Insulation Installers, carrying out installation projects at customer sites, including private homes, housing associations and local authority properties.

Duties:
- Build a team of direct Solar PV installation engineers and managers to deliver world-class customer service maintaining the highest level of quality
- Report to the Director to create a high-quality Solar PV installation department
- Be the main point of contact for customer engagement from initial contact through to project completion
- Support the allocation of resources for scheduled works and manage clients' expectations.
- Detailed cost planning, variation management and forecasting
- Control of project spend
- Management of materials and equipment selection
- Project financial reporting
- Recruit further teams and ensure targets are hit
- Ensure compliance & Health and Safety are at the forefront of everything
- Develop and manage internal and external commercial relationships
- Create accurate forecasts and drive installation volumes to meet the business requirements
- Own and resolve queries from internal and external customers and 3rd parties
- Lead technical and operational responsibilities to ensure team members are compliant with the project specification

What you'll need (the essentials):
- An understanding of renewable energy systems including Solar PV
- You'll be customer-obsessed and ensure your team deliver an outrageous customer experience every time
- Electrical qualifications and solar installation experience
- Experience in leading teams to deliver projects and installations
- An understanding of renewable energy systems including Solar PV
- Proven experience managing the installation of Solar PV, inverters and batteries in domestic customer properties/commercials

" £55k basic earning capacity including bonus up to 100k +
" £500 car allowance
