Commercial Insurance – Trainee Account Handler

Are you looking to start a career within in the insurance industry as a Trainee Account Handler- Do you want to work in a dynamic, fast paced and forward-thinking organisation?

Within the division your client portfolio will include professions, manufacturers, warehouses, property owners, retailers, offices, leisure, high-tech companies, motor dealers and traders, and so there is a wide variety in the business and the types of clients you will be dealing with. You will be a member of the Commercial Broking Team to provide a seamless service, providing service to both New and Existing clients, accurately identifying client requirements and providing accurate and comprehensive quotations.

Your role will encompass, but not be limited to:

- All aspects of office administration concerning Insurance Broking
- Answering the telephone and dealing with customer enquiries
- Incoming/Outgoing post
- Non-complex Mid Term Alteration of Commercial Insurance policies
- Policy and endorsement documentation checking and dispatch
- Payment administration and pursuing of payments
- Motor Insurance Database Changes


The ideal candidate

• Competence with Email, MS Word and Excel is required.
• Ability to build new client relationships and foster existing client relationships is vital and full training support will be provided.
• Enjoy working within a culture of continuous improvement, from both an individual and team focus.
• Ambitious nature and a keen contributor within a team environment
• Articulate with strong client facing and stakeholder management abilities.

No experience in an insurance role is necessary as full training will be given. However, if you do have some experience in any insurance setting, that would be advantageous!

Salary – Up to £24k
