Financial Controller – Doncaster
60k (£70k OTE)
PERM/FULL TIME
Due to the continued growth my client, an award-winning, leading financial group is looking to appoint a financial controller. The Financial Controller will be a key player in ensuring the finance function is effective has good controls and adds value to the group. Provide financial insight to the varied businesses under your remit, identifying and challenging business issues, and be part of the solution.
The role:
• Manage the production and interpretation of timely and relevant management information for the business.
• Provide a partnering service to support business objectives.
• Responsibility for the performance and development of the staff reporting into the role.
• Oversee tax and finance regulatory compliance issues.
• Prepare and submit information to statutory and regulatory authorities including HMRC and FCA
• Manage the production of annual statutory accounts. Planning year-end timetable and audit (key audit contact)
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records and financial reports.
• Manage production of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts.
• Develop accounting controls including appropriate automation and efficient utilisation of software capabilities.
• Liaison with key business partners including auditors, banks, software support and tax advisors.
• Manage cash flow including planning and forecasting.
• Assistance in board pack preparation
• Assist in the financial evaluation of new business initiatives and products.
• Deputise for FD as appropriate
