An introduction to our new star recruiter Duane Rigley.

Hi there, my name is Duane and I am a Recruitment Consultant here at A For Appointments.

Originally from Sheffield, I moved to Leeds in my mid 20’s and now live with my partner in Barnsley. I’m fairly new to A for Appointments, starting in September this year but I have 2 years prior agency experience as well as internal recruitment experience from my time as a store manager for telecommunications company EE.

I pride myself on being hardworking and going above and beyond for my clients and I believe it’s my transparency and honesty that sets me aside from other recruiters.

My first career was as an equestrian groom/rider which took me all over Europe as a competitive showjumper. I worked for two of the biggest names in the industry, one of my employers being the world-famous Irish rider, Billy Twoomey.

From this I worked in retail for the best part of 9 years, starting as a temporary sales advisor and working my way up to a store manager position. I was then given an opportunity to work within recruitment before seeking and securing my position here at A for A.

I was very excited to be given the opportunity to join the team at A For Appointments after initially meeting my Director Marrie for the first time and learning that a lot of the values she has and what the company practices are the same as mine. I then met Margaret, the award winning owner/founder and found her to be very much the same. They have over 70 years combined experience in recruitment, their attention to detail is unmatched and they have created an amazing company that has great value/ethics providing a level of service to clients that I’ve simply just not seen before. They’re great role models and I’m grateful to be given the opportunity to work for them.
